Introduction to Shamanism
This workshop offers basic techniques and skills in communicating with Spirit. You will experience Dynamic Meditation techniques that will enable you, with practice, to:
* communicate freely and interactively with your own spirit and the spirits of nature
* contact your spirit teachers
* utilise the sacred silence to restore your spiritual and physical power
* release mental, emotional and physical pain
* apply shamanism to day to day living.
The work is based on the core teachings of "Grandfather", an Apache Indian shaman named Stalking Wolf, who received visions in the 1890's directing him to find the "basic and pure truth" of the religions and philosophies of his known world, then to teach it to a young white boy named Tom Brown Jnr. This came to pass as prophesied 63 years later, and Tom Brown Jnr has since educated over 20,000 students world-wide and written many books.
The Shamanic techniques are taught in a way that honours all cultural heritages, and the spirit and vibrations of this land.
To read the story of Grandfather, you could read "Awakening Spirits" by Tom Brown Jnr, which should be available at your local library.
As well as strongly representing Grandfather's teachings in this workshop, Genevieve also brings to this, as with all of her workshops, the influence and wisdom gained from many years of being personally involved and committed to the healing path.
"With all my workshops, I believe in creating a very safe, relaxed, non-competitive and down to earth atmosphere, so that each participant can gain the maximum personal healing experience from the work." Genevieve
