As a Group Facilitator .....

Genevieve began running personal and spiritual development weekend workshops, meditation courses and weekly evening groups in 1993. 

Since that time, she has run over 120 weekend workshops and courses and from time to time, five day residential retreats, as well as regularly running one day seminars, giving evening talks and teaching meditation.

Genevieve has taught at various Retreat Centres, hotels and seminar centres all around the Republic of Ireland, England and in recent years, in New Zealand. She's held stall space and given talks at Mind, Body and Spirit exhibitions and holistic living festivals in Ireland, England and New Zealand.

Training …

1989    Learned Transcendental Meditation from a TM centre in London.

1990    Trained in the Jin Shin Do method of healing with tutor and healer Annie Dixon, author of “A Manual of Healing”. 

Jin Shin Do uses thirty pressure points, drawn from the twelve major meridians of acupuncture.   This method works directly on the nervous system and aims to re-condition the joints between the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

1992    Completed a three month course in Healing through the Human Aura run by Miriam Foley, psychotherapist and healer.
Additionally, received ongoing healing sessions and mentoring from Miriam.

1993    Completed a six month Professional Healer Training Course with Amethyst Resource for Human Development, Ireland.

The course covered self development, the psychological stages of development relating to the charkas, counselling, the body energies, charkas, the aura, altered states of consciousness and the integration of body, mind and spirit.

1993    Received a certificate in Energy Healing from Patsy Kavanagh, Moytura Healing Centre, Ireland.
In addition to this certificate course, Genevieve attended ongoing weekend workshops, private healing and rebirthing sessions with Patsy over a couple of years.  Skills developed: psychometry, journeying, inner child work, clairvoyance and clairaudience, channelling and healing techniques.

1996   Attended a weekend course in the Quantum Healing Method of Healing in Dublin, Ireland

1998   Medicine Wheel Training: Undertook several intensive (6 day) training ceremonies over a two year period in England, Ireland and Wales with Ehama Institute, Earth Wisdom Teachers.  Teachings were centred on the Medicine Wheel, as a map of integration and wholeness for communities, families and couples.  It is a path that teaches people ancient and very powerful tools of how to live together in harmony with groups, including council process for meetings and decision making and conflict resolution.  They teach an ancient verbatim path originating with the Mayans. http://www.ehama.de

1999    During four months spent in India, I attended a ten day Vipassana Silent Meditation Retreat.  The whole experience in India for myself, my husband Dan and our son was lifechanging.

2000    Received a Practitioner Certificate in The Melchizedek Method of healing. Facilitated by Gregory Villas in Auckland, New Zealand

2001    Completed a two year intensive Shamanic Training Course “Awakening Spirits” with the Academy of Shamanic Studies www.shamanic.ac.nz facilitated by Elizabeth von Madarasz.
This training was based on the core teachings of Stalking Wolf, an Apache Medicine Man, who passed on his teachings to Tom Brown Jnr, www.trackerschool.com who has since taught thousands of people and published several books.  The training teaches the skills to journey to over 30 realms, to access the appropriate realm at will for the purpose of wisdom, knowledge and healing.

I’ve also completed the Shamanic Healing Training and Death and Dying courses with the Academy of Shamanic Studies.  The Shamanic Healing Training is largely based on the work of Sandra Ingerman, author of Soul Retrieval: Mending the Fragmented Self, Welcome Home: Following Your Soul’s Journey Home, A Fall to Grace and Medicine for the Earth. She is also the author of "The Beginner's Guide to Shamanic Journeying" and "The Soul Retreval Journey" lecture programs.

Other teachers that have influenced Genevieve have been Lil Beck, Maura Lumberg and Paddy McMahon. Maura and Paddy are both famous for their work as clairvoyants and spiritual teachers in Ireland. Paddy is the author of several books, including the Grand Design I, II, III, IV and V.

Have received Reiki 1, 2 and 3.

The first workshops Genevieve ran in the nineties had a strong focus on teaching the chakras, the energy bodies and the psychological stages of development relating to the charkas and basic principles and techniques of hands on healing. 

Other subjects covered include self healing, inner child work, healing through movement, dance, chanting, sounds, drumming, silent meditation and guided journeys.  From the beginning, the groups have all been experiential, including many varied forms of exploring and releasing pain from the emotional and physical bodies.  Methods used include writing exercises, sharing exercises and journey work with power animals, nature spirits and spirit helpers.
